is a unique jazz show which plays five or more vocal and instrumental
versions of just ONE SONG, a well known "Standard"
for half an hour. Each show gives brief biographies of the songwriters

Jay Harris, the creator and host of One Great Song, is
a theatrical producer, and a practicing entertainment attorney.
His production credits include Side Man (1999 Tony Award
for Best Play), Never Gonna Dance, a Fred Astaire/Ginger
Rogers musical based on their film Swing Time, and
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
Jay also compiled and edited the book TV Guide: The First
Twenty-Five Years and then turned the book into four NBC
television specials hosted by the likes of Tom Brokaw, Phil
Donahue and Bryant Gumbel.
Jay
Harris transitioned in late 2007, but his show will continue
to live on here at Tribeca Radio.
